Metro Construction Group is a team of industry experts who deliver high-quality commercial projects on time and on budget. Starting from family-owned roots, through sustainable growth and tangible assets MCG employs more than 35 full-time staff members. Our team of construction professionals includes highly qualified Engineers, Project Managers, Site Foremen, Senior Estimators, Contracts Administrators, Quantity Surveyors, and QHSE Managers. Being commercial builders MCG also employs an army of over 22 tradesmen with exceptional in-house quality and safety training with specializations ranging from Working at Heights, Traffic Control, and Confined Space. A commitment to accuracy and transparency ensures that MCG adds an extra layer of perspective for each client.
Our management team has over 60 years of combined experience in managing large-scale commercial construction projects that total to over $95 Million Dollars. Our staff is not only dedicated to providing the highest quality products they also adhere to our strict safety, environmental, and quality policies. Regular site safety audits and staff training highlight the dedication to our safety management system – we understand, people’s live depend on it.

With almost two decades of proven residential experience, Metro Construction Group, back in 2015, decided to infiltrate the commercial construction market. Ever since our change in direction MCG has been at the forefront of commercial innovation helping clients deliver multifaceted designs for loving communities throughout Australia.

Our Story
2010 August
Dream House Construction begins, serving families affordable dream homes.
2015 May
With over 100 houses completed and 8 duplexes site finished, the warehouse is acquired, and importing of construction material begins.
2017 September
1st Choice Builders begins after exposure to shop and apartment refurbishment projects.
2019 December
30+ Duplexes completed and a 5-unit apartment block under construction marked a turning point for the company
Today
300+ Projects, with 67 running in tandem. Split from the residential sector into a stand-alone commercial company called Metro Construction Group.

Procurement Methods:
Lump Sum
 A firm lump sum cost is fixed under standard or specific contracts.
Competitive Cost Plus Negotiation
We can participate in the design and building stages and tender the sub-contract trades on an open-book basis. MCG fixes the cost and time before starting construction minimizing any risk to the client.
Design and Construction
MCG can undertake full design, part design or novated design at any stage of the project. Early involvement uses our buildability and estimating skills to provide value for money and meet budget constraints without compromising the design. Therefore a reduced risk of variations and delivery of a higher quality project is achievable.
Construction Management
The construction manager is committed to delivering the project within a guaranteed maximum price (GMP). The construction manager acts as a consultant to the project owner during the development and design phases or preconstruction services. During the construction phase, they act as the general contractor. Even before the project design is complete, the construction manager is involved in estimating project costs. This is based on the goals of the designer and owner as well as the overall project scope. The design can then be changed to balance the costs, schedule, quality and scope of the project. Time, effort and money are saved in this approach as opposed to having to modify or redesign any completed construction documents.
